About him

Sir Lancelot is a dream come true, a symbol of love and collaboration to preserve the magnificent Dearheart bloodlines. Thanks to the Internet, Dianne Amble traced our cattery at the southern tip of Africa. She had access to Terry Green's male, L'Dearheart Sir Tiggywinkle, from Dearheart lines, Cherie-Finesse had females from Dearheart lines. And so it came that Champions Cherie-Finesse Lady Lida and Cherie-Finesse Ms Daisie travelled to the USA to meet L'Dearheart Sir Tiggywinkle... L'Dearheart Sir Lancelot is a male from Lady Lida's mating with Sir Tiggywinkle.

The exchange program was a huge team effort. Cherie-Finesse thanks all who participated: Dianne Amble for her key role as coordinator and facilitator, Terry Green as owner of Sir Tiggywinkle, Nancy Coleman in New York who sacrificed holiday leave to act as our shipping agent, Saralouise Anderson for her prayers and moral support, Lucinda du Toit and Vicki Jacob for their individual roles in the exchange program. Lucinda now owns L'Dearheart Tristan, the son of Cherie-Finesse Ms Daisie and L'Dearheart Sir Tiggywinkle.

His nick name is "Witman" or "Witteman"  (White man). Probably not a politically correct name in South Africa, but his coat is so lightly tipped that it gives a first impression of a pure white cat.
