Burmilla

The Burmila ZA program started in 2011 when Alida Delport of the Cherie-Finesse cattery decided to do an experimental breeding between a Burmese and a Chinchilla. She used a Burmese male, Sp Ch Sabokah Tristan of Burlamien RQ NQ  (Imp NZ)owned by Lallie and Elmien de Wet from Caledon, and a Chinchilla female that she was fostering, Cherie-Shelldon St Katherine, owned by Donald and Shelley Saunders from Port Elizabeth. The kittens were born at the Cherie-Finesse cattery in Cape Town.
