Sad breeding year

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that this year so far was a very bad breeding year. We suspect that the food given during pregnancy contributed to the tragedies that we had to live through.

One of her 4 kittens died during the birth process. The rest faded away due to her not producing milk, despite veterinary intervention. Her kittens were smaller than in the past.

Two of her four kittens were extremely small at birth (58 and 62 g). Cherie was very slow to get into milk. Thanks to Michele Minteer's gift or KMR milk powder, we pulled the two boys through.  We changed the food and mom is doing fine now.

She developed poymetra. She is still on medication (7 Nov 2013).

Her one kitten was also extremely small at birth (60 g). She too took long to get into milk. But praise the Lord: all her kittens survived.
