Five breeding cats to Cape Town

A breeder from a country town in SA had to give up breeding due to one of her children developing an allergy towards the cats. She was referred to Cherie-Finesse for assistance. There were 5 cats: one stud and 4 females. This was a long and tedious process. We checked pedigrees, breeding rights, tails for kinks, level bites, solid eye liners, nose liners, lip liners, weight, and more - all via photos, emails and a closed-group website.

What made the project worth-while was that 4 of the cats were Silver, but ALL were Golden carriers. Cape Town desperately needed a bigger Golden gene pool! Then there was a cross-breed between a Golden male and a Black Persian: a cat not registerable as a purebred Original Longhair. We cleared with CASA that this cat will go into the Experimental register. On the photo is a kitten bred by her.

My sincere thanks to the two breeders in Cape Town who took three of the cats. For now, Cherie-Finesse took two in, They may be placed with a different breeder towards the end of the year.
