F1 Burmillas at age 2 years

These are two neutered Silver Shaded male Burmillas from the second  F1 breeding in the SA Burmilla Project.  They are Cherie-Finesse Arnoldus and Cherie-Finesse Arnaud (DOB 19 Sep 2012), owned and loved by the Saben family, Cape Town.

Even at F1, these cats are show quality! From this photo alone, it shows for example that their ears are perfect. No wonder that the international judge, Alan Edwards, was so impressed way back and bought their sister, Cherie-Finesse Arnella, as a breeding queen.

Sadly, Alan passed away. Alan was part of the process to get the Burmilla established as a breed right after the accidental mating between a Burmese and a traditional Chinchilla in 1982.

Alan was driving the SA Burmilla project. After his death, the onus fell back onto Cherie-Finesse and Cherie-Shelldon (PE),

We are grateful to owners like the Saben family that keeps us informed about the cats in the SA Burmilla Project.
